The Veiled Realities: Delving Beyond the Surface Perception of Life

In contemplating the world, I find that true understanding lies not solely in what our eyes perceive, but in the faculties of our minds. The eyes can be fallible, susceptible to deception and misjudgment, whereas the trained mind possesses the capacity for rationality and discernment. While others may behold a society seemingly brimming with love, joy, and happiness, is that truly the complete picture? What remains concealed from our sight? A haunting question persists within me: the realization that the world we inhabit may not align with its surface appearance.

It becomes evident that the hardships of others' lives elude casual observation. The collective suffering and agony endured by the masses often go unnoticed. To truly comprehend the state of an individual, one must delve deep into their heart and mind, seeking to understand their joys, sorrows, and the essence of their being. The mere surface, perceptible by the naked eye, represents merely the tip of the iceberg, while the vast and profound depths remain concealed, necessitating our descent into the metaphorical ocean of existence.

Yet, even in our pursuit of understanding, we encounter further limitations. The elemental fabric of reality, comprised of atoms and molecules, remains invisible to the ordinary eye. It begs the question once more: what do you see, and what do I see? If we were to compare our perspectives, I am confronted with the bleaker aspects of our society, for they lie concealed beneath the veil of individualism. A society where self-interest reigns supreme, where acts of friendship, relationships, love, and care are often driven solely by personal gain, eluding both the eye's observation and the ear's hearing.

Look around you and contemplate: do you witness an abundance of love, joy, happiness, peace, and care? And if we dare to venture beyond, can we confidently claim that people truly comprehend the meaning of life? Reflecting upon my university studies, I recall encountering the theory of realism, which is always discussed with my friend sheraz wahid and my brother Adeel Ahmad, specially Adeel always asked me not to think as people don't care about these things as they are too busy achieving success, but my question is what is the end gain of success how many successful people have left without being noticed. Khair let's come to the theory. Realism posits that human nature is anarchic, wicked, and capricious, fixated solely on self-interest, with others serving as mere conduits to further personal ends. Is this theory an immutable truth or one that invites scrutiny? Could it be that our society aligns too well with this perspective?

Why then do I pen these words for individuals who read merely for success, oblivious to the profound nature of success itself? Do they read solely to attain personal goals, considering themselves inherently superior and deserving of all rewards? I hold steadfast in my belief that life holds a deeper meaning, one that extends beyond self-centered pursuits and shallow ambitions. It beckons us to explore the depths of our existence, to seek wisdom, and to grasp the interconnectedness that binds us all. Only by embracing this profound perspective can we hope to unravel the profound mysteries of life.

In conclusion, as we contemplate the complexities of the world around us, it becomes apparent that our perception is limited, often veiled by superficial appearances. The true essence of life lies beyond what meets the eye, hidden within the depths of human experiences, struggles, and connections. It is an invitation to dive deeper, to engage our minds and hearts in understanding others and ourselves. While individualism and self-interest may dominate the surface, there remains an underlying yearning for something more profound a yearning for love, meaning, and a genuine interconnectedness that transcends personal ambitions. By embracing this deeper perspective, we embark on a journey of exploration, seeking wisdom and unraveling the enigmatic tapestry of existence. Let us peer through the veil, questioning, pondering, and striving to discover the profound truths that lie beneath the surface.

DHUL-QARNAYN'S SPACE TRAVEL

DHUL-QARNAYN'S SPACE TRAVEL In every age, there have been certain verses of the Quran that could not be fathomed. Surah al-Kahf is one of the most interesting Surahs of the Quran. This surah is very ambiguous, in the sense that every story in this Surah contains subtle and profound meanings. The story of Moses and Khidr (PBUH) is placed right before the story of Dhul-Qarnayn, and it recounts the patience of Moses who couldn’t make any sense of even perceived as evil- the actions of Khidr, and it tells his learning of the true nature of those actions when his patience was exhausted. The main message of that story is: Even if you don’t comprehend the insights of certain things that came from God, keep holding on tenaciously to God and His religion. In order to test whether we have internalized this message or not, God narrates a very ambiguous story, story of Dhul-Qarnayn right after the story of Moses and Khidr (PBUH). Since it is sprinkled with many weird phrases and expressions,...

Syrian Civil War 2.0 ( Predicting the Future )

The removal of Bashar al-Assad from power would not stabilize the Middle East; instead, it could plunge the region into deeper chaos and serve the strategic interests of Israel and other external powers. Here’s how the situation might evolve, incorporating an international relations (IR) perspective: 1. Israel’s Strategic Gains and Long-Term Goals From an IR perspective, Israel’s actions would align with its offensive realist approach, aiming to maximize its security and regional dominance. Control over Golan Heights: By fully annexing the Golan Heights, Israel would secure its borders and gain access to vital water resources, further solidifying its territorial advantage. Weakening Hezbollah: Israel would exploit Syria's chaos to disrupt Hezbollah’s supply lines from Iran via Syria. With Hezbollah isolated, Israel could intensify its military actions in Lebanon. Pressure on Lebanon: Israel’s strikes on Hezbollah-controlled areas in Lebanon would highlight the Lebanese government’...

Hedonic Treadmill: Understanding the Concept and its Impact on Human Happiness

The pursuit of happiness is ingrained in human nature. Every individual strives to achieve a state of contentment and joy in their life. However, despite our efforts to reach this elusive goal, the feeling of happiness seems to be fleeting. This phenomenon can be explained by the concept of hedonic treadmill, also known as hedonic adaptation. The term "hedonic treadmill" was coined by Brickman and Campbell in 1971, based on their research on happiness. It refers to the tendency of individuals to return to their baseline level of happiness despite experiencing positive or negative events in their lives. In simpler terms, it means that individuals get used to changes in their life, both positive and negative, and their overall level of happiness remains relatively constant. To understand this concept better, let us take an example. Imagine that you have been dreaming of a new car for a long time and finally, you are able to buy it. You feel ecstatic and thrilled with your new p...
